HOLY WOW!! The costume designer wasn’t even trying! Not that it was a mistake—this is GORGEOUS—but really, there wasn’t even the 5 points of difference required to make it her own design! Dayum. This is something, made into reality! Sigh…so gorgeous, so elegant and powerful…

Brazen fashion that takes its inspiration from the unselfconscious costuming in film. This nature of this design can be likened in spirit to the appearance of the modern Lion, evolving from the Sabre Toothed-Cat.

4. (Fine Arts & Visual Arts / Art Terms) (Literary & Literary Critical Terms) a constantly recurring symbol or motif in literature, painting, etc.

Film + Fashion = Ready to wear ‘Archetype’
Brazen fashion that takes its inspiration from the unselfconscious costuming in film. This nature of this design can be likened in spirit to the appearance of the modern Lion, evolving from the Sabre Toothed-Cat.
The design I offer is influenced by the sensuality and opulence of The Mirror Queen’s character (also known as ‘The Grimm Queen) in “The Brother’s Grimm”, played by Monica Bellucci.
In adapting this exquisite design for everyday wear, I’ve minimalized the dress to an elaborate top—still yet streamlined from the original garment. Note the high cream ruff present in the original design, has evolved into a smaller flutter of fabric that flares slightly outward.
The Temple earrings she wears are now made into temple ornaments (pictured here as earrings. Detail of hair ornaments and designs coming soon…!)
I built off of the lovely Saxon-style ‘belt’ she wears, and I blended my Thigh Jewelry into it, to bridge the top with the jeans.
This is currently a work in progress, so check back for updates!
